Vertiname Privacy Agreement
Welcome to the Vertiname addressing service (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”), which covers the vertiname.om main site, the 3mc.tech query tool, the post.3mc.tech dedicated courier addressing site, and related ancillary services (collectively referred to as “the Platform”). This Privacy Agreement aims to clarify the rules for the collection, use, storage, protection, and disclosure of users' personal information by the Platform, safeguarding users' personal information rights and interests. It is formulated in accordance with relevant laws and regulations such as the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Data Security Law. Please read and fully understand the entire content of this Agreement. Your use of the Platform's services shall be deemed as your acceptance of all the terms of this Agreement.
I. Definitions and Scope
1.1 Scope of Application
This Agreement applies to the entire process of your use of all services on the Platform, including but not limited to user registration, addressing name registration and management, coordinate setting and query, courier addressing services, etc., covering all personal information you submit on the Platform and related data generated.
Special Note: This Agreement uniformly regulates the privacy protection rules for the three platforms: vertiname.om main site, 3mc.tech, and post.3mc.tech. Information processing details arising from functional differences among the platforms will be specifically clarified in this Agreement, and all three share the same set of privacy protection standards.
1.2 Core Definitions
1.2.1 Personal Information: Refers to various information recorded electronically or by other means related to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information, including but not limited to your name, mobile phone number, email, address, latitude/longitude coordinates, device information, etc.
1.2.2 Sensitive Personal Information: Refers to personal information that, once leaked or illegally used, is likely to infringe upon the natural person's personal dignity or endanger their personal or property safety. The sensitive personal information involved in this Platform mainly includes your precise latitude/longitude coordinates, detailed delivery address, and other related location trajectory information.
1.2.3 Addressing Name: Refers to the identity identifier you register on this Platform, in the form of “username@suffix” (e.g., xxx@me, xxx@post), used to bind coordinates, addresses, and other information to achieve addressing, querying, and other functions.
II. Information Collection and Use
The Platform follows the principles of “legality, legitimacy, necessity, and good faith,” collecting only the personal information necessary to achieve service functions, without excessive collection. All information collection is based on your consent. The specific collection scope and purposes of use are as follows:
2.1 Necessary Information Collection and Use
To ensure your normal use of the Platform's core services, you need to authorize the Platform to collect the following necessary information. If you refuse to provide it, you will be unable to use the corresponding services:
2.1.1 Account Registration Information: Includes your mobile phone number/email and the password you set, used for account registration, login verification, identity recognition, and sending important information such as service notifications and verification codes to you, ensuring account security.
2.1.2 Addressing-Related Information: Includes the addressing name you register, the detailed address you bind, and latitude/longitude coordinates, used to achieve core functions such as address resolution, location query, and courier delivery positioning. Among these, the @post suffix addressing names registered on the post.3mc.tech platform can have their coordinates set only once (no modification interface). Other suffix addressing names registered on the vertiname.om main site can have their coordinates modified according to your needs. All addressing-related information is used for precise positioning and addressing services.
2.1.3 Device and Network Information: Includes your device model, operating system, IP address, browser type, and network connection status when using the Platform, used to ensure service stability, troubleshoot system failures, prevent network attacks, and ensure normal service operation.
2.2 Non-Necessary Information Collection and Use
The following information is non-necessary. You can choose whether to provide it voluntarily. Not providing it will not affect your use of the Platform's core services:
2.2.1 Personal Supplementary Information: Such as name, avatar, contact phone number (non-registered mobile number), used to complete account information, improve service experience, and facilitate you in receiving auxiliary notifications related to courier delivery.
2.2.2 Usage Behavior Information: Includes your query records, addressing name management operation records, and page browsing records, used to optimize service functions, analyze user needs, and provide you with more tailored services (all behavior information is anonymized and not associated with your personal identity).
2.3 Information Use Restrictions
2.3.1 The Platform uses your personal information only within the scope agreed upon in this Agreement and shall not use it beyond the service purposes. Without your explicit consent, the information will not be used for purposes unrelated to this Service.
2.3.2 Your addressing name and bound coordinate and address information are used only for the Platform's addressing and query services. When a courier queries through the 3mc.tech platform, they can only obtain the coordinates and simplified address corresponding to the addressing name and cannot access your sensitive privacy such as account information or contact details.
2.3.3 The Platform will not use your personal information for personalized advertising pushes, nor will it use your location information or usage behavior information for commercial marketing, strictly adhering to the “minimum necessity” principle in processing all information.
III. Information Storage and Protection
3.1 Information Storage
3.1.1 The Platform stores your personal information on legally compliant servers within the territory, strictly complying with relevant data storage laws and regulations, and does not store your personal information on overseas servers.
3.1.2 Information Storage Period: Following the “shortest period” principle, your personal information is retained for the shortest time necessary to achieve the service purposes. Account information will be deleted or anonymized within 15 working days after you close your account. Addressing-related information (coordinates, address) will be deleted immediately after you delete the addressing name. Non-core information such as query records and operation records will be retained for no more than 6 months, after which it will be automatically anonymized.
3.1.3 For @post suffix addressing names on the post.3mc.tech platform, even if you do not actively delete them, after the service expires without renewal, the related coordinate and address information will be suspended and deleted or anonymized after 3 months, without leakage or reuse.
3.2 Information Protection
The Platform attaches great importance to the security of your personal information and adopts dual technical and management protection measures to prevent information leakage, tampering, and loss:
3.2.1 Technical Measures: Adopts technical means such as data encryption, access control, security auditing, and vulnerability management to encrypt and store your personal information, preventing unauthorized access; encrypts account passwords and does not store plaintext passwords; regularly conducts security inspections on servers and promptly repairs security vulnerabilities.
3.2.2 Management Measures: Establishes strict information management systems, clarifies the information access permissions of internal personnel, and implements the principle of minimum privilege; provides privacy protection training to employees who handle personal information, signs confidentiality agreements, and strictly prohibits the leakage of user personal information; establishes information security emergency plans. In the event of an information leak, remedial measures will be taken immediately, and you and relevant regulatory authorities will be notified promptly.
3.2.3 Special Safeguards: Your sensitive personal information, such as precise coordinates and detailed addresses, is accessible only to you and authorized queriers (e.g., couriers). The query process requires verification of the PIN code or relevant permissions to ensure information security.
IV. Information Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
The Platform strictly protects your personal information. Without your explicit consent, it will never share, transfer, or disclose your personal information to any third party, unless it falls under the following statutory or agreed circumstances:
4.1 Statutory Circumstances: Disclosing your personal information in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations, judicial authorities, or administrative organs to cooperate with investigations, safeguard public interests, or fulfill legal obligations.
4.2 Service Necessity Circumstances: To ensure the normal operation of the Platform's services, it is necessary to share some of your non-sensitive information (e.g., addressing name, simplified coordinates) with third-party partners providing technical support or server services. However, we will sign confidentiality agreements with partners, requiring them to process information strictly in accordance with this Agreement and relevant laws and regulations, not to use it beyond the service scope, and we will supervise their information processing activities.
4.3 Anonymization Processing: The Platform may use information that has been anonymized and cannot identify your personal identity for data analysis, service optimization, industry research, etc. Such anonymized information does not constitute personal information and may be freely used and disclosed.
4.4 Your Active Authorization: If you actively choose to share personal information with a third party (e.g., authorizing a courier platform to obtain your addressing information), we will share the information according to the scope of your authorization.
Special Note: The Platform will not sell or rent your personal information to any third party and will not engage in personal information transactions with any third party.
V. User Rights
In accordance with relevant laws and regulations, you have the right to access, copy, correct, delete, withdraw consent, and close your account regarding your personal information. The Platform provides you with convenient channels to exercise these rights:
5.1 Right of Access and Copy: You can log in to the vertiname.om main site and view your account information, addressing name information, bound coordinates, and address information in the “Personal Center,” and you can apply to copy relevant information.
5.2 Right of Correction: You can correct your account information and the coordinate and address information of non-@post suffix addressing names on the vertiname.om main site. For @post suffix addressing names on the post.3mc.tech platform, coordinates can be set only once and do not support correction. If modification is needed, you can delete the addressing name and re-register.
5.3 Right of Deletion: You can delete your own addressing names (including all suffixes). After deletion, all information (coordinates, address) corresponding to that addressing name will be deleted immediately. You can delete your own query records and operation records. If you believe the information collected by the Platform exceeds the necessary scope, you can apply to delete the excess information.
5.4 Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent to the Platform's collection and use of personal information at any time. After withdrawal of consent, the Platform will no longer collect or use your relevant information, but this will not affect information processing completed before the withdrawal and may result in your inability to continue using related services.
5.5 Right to Close Account: You can apply to close your account by logging into the vertiname.om main site. After account closure, the Platform will delete all your personal information (including account information, addressing information, operation records, etc.) or anonymize it within 15 working days. The closure cannot be reversed, and related services will no longer be available.
5.6 Method of Exercising Rights: If you need to exercise the above rights, you can contact us through the contact methods stipulated in Article VII of this Agreement. We will process your request within 7 working days after receiving it and provide you with feedback on the processing result. If you have objections to the processing result, you can further complain to us.
VI. Agreement Changes and Notifications
6.1 This Privacy Agreement may be revised based on updates to laws and regulations or adjustments to the Platform's services. After revision, the updated agreement content will be published in a prominent position on the homepage of this Platform (vertiname.om, 3mc.tech, post.3mc.tech), and you will not be notified individually.
6.2 If the revision involves your core rights and interests (such as the scope of information collection, purposes of use, sharing rules, etc.), we will notify you through pop-ups, SMS, email, etc. Your continued use of the Platform's services shall be deemed as your acceptance of the revised agreement. If you do not agree to the revised agreement, you may stop using the Platform's services and apply to close your account.

VIII. Other Clauses
8.1 This Privacy Agreement takes effect from the date you start using the Platform's services. After you stop using the Platform's services, this Agreement remains binding on the protection of your personal information until the Platform completes the deletion or anonymization of your personal information.
8.2 If you violate the terms of this Agreement or use the Platform's services to infringe upon others' privacy, the Platform has the right to suspend or terminate the services provided to you and pursue your relevant responsibilities. If personal information leakage is caused by your own improper operation, account password leakage, etc., you shall bear the responsibility yourself.
8.3 The final interpretation right of this Privacy Agreement belongs to the Platform. If any clause of this Agreement conflicts with relevant laws and regulations, the relevant laws and regulations shall prevail.
